Full Story

One of the first things I can remember is sitting on Dad's lap in a dark room watching a photo paper in a developer on which faces begin to appear. A few years later, I was sitting alone in a dark room, still surprised by this magic.
With the advent of digital, I lost interest in photography for several years. Later, I started visiting the studio of Oldřich Škácha (https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldřich_Škácha), a great documentary photographer and private photographer of Václav Havel. Olda aroused my interest in photography again. I enjoyed sitting with him over his archive, talking about photography and other stuff. Olda was a great guy, fate meant that one of the very first articles that was published  was a report from the opening of his exhibition. https://kulturio.cz/fotoreport-oldrich-skacha-okupace-1968/

Since 2018 until 2021 , I was taking photos for the cultural magazine Kulturio. In 2020 I left my job, and started to study photography at Scholastika under the guidance of Jiří Thýn (https://www.artlist.cz/jiri-thyn-3509/).

Today,  I am a freelance photographer, focused mainly on portrait, gigs, film, and theater photography. I also work for the film as a location manager.

As a photographer, I collaborate with the Jezerka Theater, for which I photograph their productions, including preparations for a new play directed by Jan Hřebejk. I have been photographing events for the city of Mělník and MEKUC (Mělník Cultural Center) for a long time. My photos have been published in many magazines and several books: FORBES, HEADLINER, REDBULL, KULTURIO, IDNES, MUSICSERVER…
